The Karun'ashi is a strange, non-carbon based life form that inhabitates the poles and the tallest mountains of the land, as well as any particularly rocky environment.

=== Etyomology ===
Karun'ashi is a compound Hitoku word meaning "Rock lifeform" (From ashita: rock, and karunuje: living). It uses the apostrophe «'», a character very rarely used in Hitoku romanized texts, to distinguish it from "karunashi", a verb meaning ''to nail''.

=== Characteristics ===
The karun'ashi is a mineral-based lifeform with basic intelligence capabilities. Most of its body is composed of rocky minerals, but they're organized in very specific ways to make the lifeform be, well, alive.

It makes clever use of lots of minerals and its unique properties to be able to reproduce, eat, and live, properties such as molecular decomposition, and an strange process similar to osmosis, which allows energetic particles to be transported through the body of the karun'ashi. These minerals are arranged in organ-like "sections" of the body, tightly packed together and not easily divisible.

The Rikogyujin is hexapedal, long and heavily furred. It features a relatively elongated body with an evolutionary remnant of a tail, currently musculated but with limited movement range. Their average height ranks at 1.4 meters upon adulthood, with some of the tallest managing to be as tall as 1.6m

It features 6 extremities, 4 supportive ones with a 4 appendices based in a 4-point-star shape and flat sole, and 2 interaction ones slightly higher up the vertebrae system, featuring a hand-like tool with 5 fingers, two fo which are opposing. Their arms also feature 2 opposing articulations on top of the shoulder joint. This gives the rikogyujin's arm a very wide moiton range and rather complex position potential.

It features an elongated head with a long nose slightly curved downwards, eyes facing sidewides and slightly upwards, and 4 olfatory chemical receptors located at the protuberances a both sides of the head, in its nose and in the protuberance located in the back of the head. The nose is also capable of emiting as well with glands that are also located in their fingertips and tailtip.

The '''exodimensional space''' (EDS) is the space in which the entire multidimensional system is located. It is a space where physical laws break, and matter cannot exist. Instead, to communicate between universes and mobilize matter between dimensions requires the [[aether]], a substance that flows from the entirety of the multiverse and contains the universes, working as a shell for the matter not to scatter and disappear in the EDS, and transports matter through naturally formed [[cracks]] across the inside of the aetherial columns that form between aetherial shells. This allowed entire universes to disappear, or simple transfer matter and energy to another. Multiple artistic interpretations have visualized the EDS as an endless, pitch black emptiness in which bubbles of aether contain stars and galaxies, all of existence, and connect with one another in interuniversal flows of aether.

===Behind the Scenes===

The move that introduced EDS also introduced translations in Hitoku: ''yasuteri yasanakyum'', or simply ''yasute'' for EDS, ''fūshūn'' for aether, and ''deneka tagyoku'', or simply ''tagyoku'' for aetherial columns. These translations were not included in the canon text in order to avoid confusion.
