Zeal for Right Harmony (or Just Anger or Passion for Justice) is a notion held by the people of a planet. In-universe, this notion is often called Ro:paR, pronounced [ʀoːpaʀ].

All races and species of sentient beings on our target planet value Ro:paR as the highest goal of their existences, and indeed believe it to be the thing that the Aether and the Potential exist to promote; actions are evaluated according to whether they accord with Ro:paR or combat it. They pronounce it alike though they may use different scripts and languages. Ro:paR may be translated as 'zeal for right harmony', 'just anger' or 'passion for justice'. However, different categories of being on the planet think of themselves as having Ro:paR of different qualities: some have 'patient Ro:paR' and some 'urgent Ro:paR'.

Behind the Scenes

How the universality of belief across the planet originated is unknown. It has been speculated that it was preached by a compelling ethical leader that gained the universal trust of the beings concerned. It has also been speculated that an interstellar species arrived and implanted nanochips as part of a psychowarfare campaign.

It is unclear whether the pronunciation [ʀoːpaʀ] is precisely the same across all languages or if there are approximations and transliterations.
