A nightrift is a hypothesized meteorological phenomenon when a riftstorm consists of downrifts whose transdimensional side resides in empty space. A nightrift has been described as "blinking stretches of starry nightsky piercing the blue heavens." It has not yet been confirmed in the Canon as to whether nightrifts exist nor what color of the daytime sky is.
