Etyomology
Karun'ashi is a compound Hitoku word meaning "Rock lifeform" (From ashita: rock, and karunuje: living). It uses the apostrophe «'», a character very rarely used in Hitoku romanized texts, to distinguish it from "karunashi", a verb meaning to nail.
Characteristics
The karun'ashi is a mineral-based lifeform with basic intelligence capabilities. Most of its body is composed of rocky minerals, but they're organized in very specific ways to make the lifeform be, well, alive.
It makes clever use of lots of minerals and its unique properties to be able to reproduce, eat, and live, properties such as molecular decomposition, and an strange process similar to osmosis, which allows energetic particles to be transported through the body of the karun'ashi. These minerals are arranged in organ-like "sections" of the body, tightly packed together and not easily divisible.
Behavior
The karun'ashi is a primarily peaceful creature. It moves with special, symbiotic rocks that lift it off the ground and travel with it.
