Semi-sentient Minerals

Just like the world's plant life minerals inderectly are to a certain degree sentient. The minarls that exist on this world are almost the same as om Earth except zinc is completely absent and iron is comparatively rare as established previously.

Instead of these minerals there are a set of other hard minerals that have a sentient organism that lives inside of it. These organisms behave like ants but are smaller and gather nourishment from the soil beneath rocks, mountains and such. The minerals in their pure form is very hard and dense but seems malleable and has high porosity when inhabited.

One of the minerals is pitch black in colour and not very reflective in its pure form, very durable but difficult to mold and work with with a melting point close to tungsten.

Another common mineral is a high shine mineral that shifts between red and a neon green in colour. This mineral is highly magnetic in its pure form.

Both these minerals are environments these organisms like to inhabit. Together with tungsten, gold and lead.

When these organisms inhabit these minerals the rocks and mountains appear moving and softer in texture. This phenominon gives rise to migrating rocks, migrating mountains and sprouting grovel.

Migrating rocks are like tumbleweed and seem to move in the wind but only use the force of the wind to migrate to other areas. While migrating mountains have a similar name to migrating rocks the phenominon occurs because the organisms inhabit at least 70% of a mountain located mostly at the base of the mountain creating movement and low friction at the base making the mountain glide. Sprouting or escaping grovel is when small rocks depart from the top of a mountain due to high level of movement within the rocks.

The pitch black mineral is called Pżíkin /ˈpɕiːxɪn/ and the magnetic metal is called Arcencielin /ᶗʑə̃ˈʑɪ̯ə̃lɪn/.
